Aaron S. Hockman resides in Cheyenne, Wyoming as the Chief Trial & Appellate Counsel for the Wyoming Guardian ad Litem Program, a division of the Office of the State Public Defender. As the Chief Trial & Appellate Counsel, Aaron represents children in actions for termination of parental rights brought by the State of Wyoming and in appellate proceedings before the Wyoming Supreme Court.

Aaron was born in Charlottesville,Virginia, but was raised in Wyoming. His early childhood was spent in the cities of Sheridan, Cheyenne, and Evanston before his family finally settled in Laramie.  Aaron attended the University of Wyoming where he received dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in History and Criminal Justice in 2006, and his Juris Doctor in 2009.

Prior to accepting his current position, Aaron was both an Assistant Public Defender in the Sixth Judicial District in Gillette, Wyoming and also a contract attorney appointed to the GAL Program Panel with the Guardian ad Litem Program.  Aaron is licensed to practice law in the State of Wyoming.
